Concrete and Hard Drives ...

Ever wondered what concrete and hard drives have in common. When I was a boy growing up in Illinois, we had a neighbor who was a building contractor. Clyde taught me something that I have always remembered:
There are only two kinds of concrete. That which has cracked and that which is going to crack.
Just take a look around the next time you are out and about and you will see the truth in this statement!

When I started working with computers many years ago, I modified this statement to read:
There are only two kinds of hard drives. Those that have crashed and those that are going to crash.
Hopefully you have never had a hard drive crash ... it can ruin your day! Properly backing up your hard drive (or drives) is something every computer user should know how to do and do frequently. Watch for several informative and instructive posts in the next few weeks that will help you sleep better at night knowing that your photos will still be available when you wake up.
