Concrete and Hard Drives ...

Ever wondered what concrete and hard drives have in common. When I was a boy growing up in Illinois, we had a neighbor who was a building contractor. Clyde taught me something that I have always remembered:

There are only two kinds of concrete. That which has cracked and that which is going to crack.

Just take a look around the next time you are out and about and you will see the truth in this statement!

When I started working with computers many years ago, I modified this statement to read:

There are only two kinds of hard drives. Those that have crashed and those that are going to crash.

Hopefully you have never had a hard drive crash ... it can ruin your day! Properly backing up your hard drive (or drives) is something every computer user should know how to do and do frequently.
